Mike spent 2 cold and wet hours during the night on anchor watch as the winds picked up again. He was not the only one on watch. The harbour was quite busy with 2 other boats besides us. A crowd!
Morning started out cloudy and cool and my migraine was back but not as severe.
Had a lazy day. Put out a second anchor just for insurance. Finally moved to a mooring ball which caused the wind to drop. And one day without rain! We dinghied to shore and went on a couple of hikes around the end of the peninsula. Interesting geology and flowers growing through the rocks.
Even had time to socialize a bit. Met one family from Ottawa who were out sailing with Granma and Grampa on Chain Reaction. Then Andrew & Lori from Sirocco, whom we had met in Red Rock, came in and we invited them on board for dessert as I had gotten ambitious and made an apple crisp. Lori told a funny story about asking Andrew what the name of our boat was. He said Mary B and she thought he had said Marry me, which she readily agreed too! Not sure how they are going to work that one out. A very lovely evening.
