A cold miserable day to head for Loon Harbour which meant more motoring, but makes it easier for me to helm, although it was a bit rocky and rolly.
Bonnie Dahl states in her book that Loon Harbour is the prettiest around, and it was, even in the mist. Mike went on some dinghy excursions looking for a sauna to no avail. Managed a few photos. though.
Love the lighthouses and keeper[s cottages. Their red roofs always stand out.
The next day was spent in Loon Harbour, me with a migraine. Mike did more exploring - still looking for that elusive sauna. The weather did finally clear showing glimpses of blue sky.
One amusing part of the day was when we heard a knocking on the hull. Mike went up on deck to find a lone kayaker. He was wondering what the date was! A group of Kayakers had left Thunder Bay and were headed to Terrace Bay. He looked pretty forlorn. Mike sent him on his way with a beer.
