We were going to stay in Otter Cove today as it was foggy and winds not favourable, but after conferring with the other boat crew, decided to head to Michipicotin as it gets us further south and sets us up for a couple of choices the following day. Managed to make some bread before we up-anchored.
Got to Quebec Harbour about 1500 hours. Fog lifted as we entered the harbour and anchored. Our welcoming party was a pair of loons and a gull. Gulls seem to be much cleaner and quieter up here.
Rick and I were just settling into the cockpit when we heard the strangest noise coming from the marsh - a cow moose and calf. Finally! They were a fair distance away but were certainly noisy while they were eating.
